Theodoros Vasileiou

Founder - Aviation Technical Consultant - Aerospace Engineer.

Theodoros Vasileiou entry in Aviation started back in 2000 when graduated from an Aircraft Technical Institute while he started gaining his experience in aircarft maintenance in Thessaloniki's Airclub. He continued his studies and obtained an Aerospace Engineering Degree from the University of Surrey (UK) in 2004 while his thesis was on aerospace composite materials.

Mandatory military service followed at Hellenic Army's Hellicopters Division holding a post at Reasearch and Development Department as a Powerplant Engineer. This was his enrollment into Engineering work and MRO enviroment and his introduction in participating in demo flights after maintenance. Serving with the rank of Lieutenant was his initiation to active managment of manpower and resources. Theodoros then continued gaining experience in Research and Development by evolving/testing aerospace composite materials for an ESA project on Institute of Mechanics of Materials & Geostructures S.A. Athens (GR).

In August 2007 he started his role in the Technical Representation of Heavy Maintenace and Transitions as a Base Maintenance Coordinator at Aegean Airlines (GR) and completed his role as the Head of CAMO Base Maintenance Department in 2021. For 14 years he matured in the aviation maintenance industry and gained his experiece and created a network of conections among MRO's, Painting Facilities and aviation experts of all kinds. Resource Management and Base Maintenance Input Slot Planning along with establishment and review of Base Maintenance GTA's with MRO's, invoice reviews and post maintenace cost and TAT reporting grew into experties. Key person and focal point between OCC, Maintenance Planning, Engineering, Technical Records, Logistics, Maintrol and MRO's, he assured the maintenace aircarft movements and the planned TAT's. Theodoros also contributed in the development of the airlines 145 organisation by coordinating the production lines, generating reports and statistics, measuring the performance and evolving resource planning and management along with productivity. Within this time he passed on his knowledge by training and coaching coleagues into the Technical Represeantation and also actively used his Part-66 C Licence.

At 2021, the begining of the end of Covid-19 pandemic with numerous aircraft on ground globaly he decided that it was the time to move forward and offer his knowledge and experitse as a Freelancer which led in 2023 into the establishment of his own business, Vector Technical Services.

Theodoros as an Aerospace Engineer is intrigued in finding solutions that overpass difficulties and problems. Aviation Technical Services satisfy this along with his passion for aircraft and flying.
